Kevin Shives, CPA

Co-Founder and President, Internal Audit Consulting Services

Kevin has over 17 years of experience in Bay Area business where he’s held senior finance and management positions in high-tech companies. In his role at The Resultants, Kevin has concentrated his efforts on providing our clients with highly effective and cost efficient solutions to the Sarbanes‐Oxley (SOX) requirements. Since the SOX law was passed in 2002, Kevin has assembled and developed a team of dedicated professionals who have successfully implemented sustainable SOX solutions at companies ranging in size from $25 Million to $1 Billion market cap.

Prior to his work with SOX and Internal Audit, Kevin has been a Controller, Revenue Manager, FP&A Manager, external Auditor and a project manager for large-scale Oracle implementations.

Kevin is a Certified Public Accountant with a B.S. in Accounting from San Jose State University. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, AICPA, California Society of CPAs and Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

Paty has held senior HR and Staffing Management positions in Bay Area hi-tech and start-up companies over the last 20 years.

She founded The Resultants in 1996, when she saw a need for start-up companies in the internet marketplace to create effective recruiting and HR strategies.

Prior to founding the Resultants, Paty spent 7 years at a boutique firm in the software consulting industry that focused on providing senior level software expertise to hi-tech companies in the Bay Area. Here she gained valuable experience in HR and recruiting at all levels for diverse technology sectors. She also learned how to build a business that helped make her clients profitable. Her customers recognized her for providing exceptional talent to build and deliver products.

Paty has also worked within small start-ups and large internet companies where she has held positions as Director of Strategic Growth and Interim V.P. of Human Resources. While at Infoseek Corporation, she led the HR team that developed and implemented cost-effective HR and recruiting processes that would help the company grow from 79 to 1500 employees in 2 years.

Paty holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting and International Studies from University of Maryland and is a member of NCHRA, SHRM and various HR and Recruiting networks in the Bay Area.
